Aims and scope 001

While there is no need to rule anything out at this point, it will undoubtedly be useful to haved some idea of the overall aims and scope of our efforts. This will help to generate coherent strategies, avoid unncessary sidetracks or piecemeal 'mission creep', and to plan more effectively. All plans are revisable, but it's still a good idea to have one and stick to it, and make any revisions in an explicit and considered manner.

A very rough starting point for discussion:

LRP aims to mobilise and co-ordinate Labour members and supporters to work alongside and if possible in collaboration with Jeremy Corbyn's team and the Labour Party more generally.

The ultimate goal is to tranform the UK's economy and society to achieve a decent, humane and rational system of organisation fit for the 21st century. An intermediate goal is to support the election and the policy development of the reformed Labour Party.

On a more immediate and tractable level, the project is conceived initially as working via the medium of information.

This diagram (also posted elsewhere) is intended to provide some rough kind of initial overview of the project as I envisage it at present. However misguided, misconceived or otherwise inadequate it may turn out to be, I hope it will at least serve as some kind of catalyst for discussion.
